PGDIM DSE

As of now, University of Delhi providing lots of courses related to management studies mother of which is FMS. Every MBA aspirant is willing to hire a seat in FMS for their hot career which is rare for rare ones. Apart from it, DU also offers courses in association with its prestigious colleges like MIB from Delhi school of economics, MBE son of dept of Eco, MFC pride of south campus and also GBO from SRCC an enormous college for commerce related studies. But few years back, around 6 years, Delhi School of Economics initiated an one year full-time program having specialisation in "International Marketing" as Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing(PGDIM). This course is running successfully by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce which is dedicated to studies of commerce and serving very well which hold respectable position in DU college list. My this blog is about PGDIM. I will share it in detail as much possible for me.

As I mentioned above its affiliated to DSE, so it holds respected position in DUs Post graduate courses. The course aims to provide managers with knowledge, skills and acumen to understand the complexities of international business and cope up with cross culture and cross market challenges. This is the basic info about it what it do for you.

For admission to this program, one can collect prospectus from college or from affiliated banks which is generally in the month of June. Entrance exam is conducted by Delhi School of Economics and shortlisted students have to undergo two more hurdles. As usual , GD and PI. After all this rigorous work, final list of around 40 students displays on college board which will take you to the journey of PGDIM.

It has 2 semesters from August to December and January to June. April and May will be dedicated to internship and also but not the least, there is an research project(opportunity to score a ton) on any topic to be selected by students.

In first semester, there are 5 hurdles (or subjects):
1. Managerial Economics
2. International Finance Management.
3. International Business Environment.
4. International Marketing.
5. Computer application in Business.

Second semester,
1. International Logistics.
2. Macro-economics.
3. International Trade Theories.
4. Marketing Research.
5. Research project.
And also 2 months internship.
And of course, placements......

This is just explanation of course. Apart from it, there are lots of extra-curricular activities to provide blue-collars environment to students like presentations, case-studies, Debate, industrial visits, famous biz-men interactions and many more.
Just get into it and feel the difference.
It is better to join rather than joining an private B-schools to spend 4-5 lacs.
There is alot to say about it but time not allowing me to go ahead at this point.
