Writing these lines after so many years! Trust me, once you get into professional life then only profession controls your day and night ... ha ha not you. Seriously, this came true for me as well.
Well thanks to PGDIM student who sent a mail for filling her questionnaire that basically reminded me my time when I used to send mails to anonymous receiver. Thanks to them too!
Yes in continuation, this post is about beginning of my career after PGDIM and entering into the professional world of Internet giants with TYROO....(Tyroo media is an online ad managing network who connects advertisers with potential publishers to reach out to the right audience...this is called "marketing". Its all based on high end technology, let's not get into all this).
I have no doubt in saying that PGDIM paved the way for me to Tyroo!
First day, I arrived at office at sharp 9am. Feeling nervous while sitting on the couch in reception area a 20ftx20ft room with mirrors all around and some wire like big machines showcased beautifully. People were coming in , punching to attendance machine, laptop hanging on their back, earphone with mobile...don't know whom they were talking in early morning! Well finally, my reporting manager stepped in. Let me introduce to her, Ms Ranjana Raina, the person who opened gateway for me in professional world, so words are small for her compliments. You will read later on how she had shaped me.
She introduced me to HR manager for all paper work formality, gave new pen , branded notepad, and other instructions. Then I was took to basement area which was just an amazing open hall with no pillars in between, fully air conditioned, laptops systems all around, guys gals just glaring at their screens, big size @ sign on the wall, few one sitting on gunny bag, few were lying under the table, long corridors,....well scene was just like filmy! Then we entered last corridor that belongs to Tyroo team and I met my mam again and she took me to my system and my official email id. that was so amazing!
Well day begun with intro about basics of internet advertising, commercial notes, terminology and etc etc. Team was very interesting, funny, young, passionate and beautiful too....and couldn't believe I was sitting next to IIM and SP Jain students. So work started and I was working for Oracle and makemytrip, it was amazing!
Big time in lunch, we went to top floor cafeteria. All beauties and handsome wearing mind blowing branded outfits, hanging around! I was lunching with people from big companies, colleges, and yes, entrepreneur! Experience was awesome, delightful and quite a learning. Day ended at 5 when my manager said you can leave now. My god, I was immersed with work. I reached home and narrated the whole day to my family in 3 hours. Of course, it was my 1st day @ office.
I also got my official designation.... International affiliate executive. No idea what was that.
Well this post is only about 1st official day and only 1st day exciting story which I never discussed with anyone except this blog. Next post will be for "Time with Tyroo! & starting of my career at my own terms!"
